EMANCIPATION OF SLAVES.
(Electric Telegraph— Copyrltrlit— United PrcßS Association.) (Received Jan. 16, 9 a.m.) Loxdok, Jan. 15. Mr Brodrick, Parliamentary Secretary to the Foreign Office, has informed an Anti-Slavery Society deputation that 8000 slaves have been freed in Zanzibar and £ emba. Emancipation was proceeding as tapidly as was consistent with security.
