During his recent trip to England, in search of fresh novelties, Mr Rickards was so impressed with Biondi's marvellous skill that he engaged him at once for Australia, at the enormous salary of £150 a week— the largest remuneration ever paid to any single artist in the southern hemisphere. Binndi's success in Australia has been phenomenal, and in Dunedin, Christchurch, and Napier he has created quite a furore. Mr Harry Rickards will make a welcome re-appearance here, and will introduce some of his latest London successes, incli'ding " That is a Woman's Way," " Never let your Donah go upon the stage," and a budget of new songs never before heard in New Zealand. Mr Albert Bellman and Miss Lottie Moore are two of the most talented, popular, and refined performers who have ever visited this colony; MrJ. W. Winton has proved himself to be the most accomplished ventriloquist who has ever appeared in Australia ; Miss Nellie Wilson is one of London's greatest serio-comic vocalists, and bears the proud title of champion topboot dancer of the world ; Misses Katie and Madge Rickards are charming soubrettes, danseuse, and vocalists ; Messrs Foreman and Fannan are two of the funniest " knock about" and patter artists ever seen in Australasia ; Miss Noni Rickards is a charming young actress, who has in the last twelve months wou the most nattering praise in Sydney and Melbourne; and Mr Hamilton Hill (baritone), Mr Arthur Glynn (comedian). Miss Clara Llewellyn (soprano balladist), and Miss Ethel Yorke (piquant serio-comic ar,tist skirt dancer) go to make up one of the best variety combinations that have visited New Zealand.
