CITY COUNCILLORS THREATENED.
<>— [Per Press Association.] Auckland, to-day. It is stated that certain members of the City Council and the Mayor have received auonymons letters, couched in threatening terms, and warning them of divers pains and penalties they will suffer if they vote for certain resolutions and proposed measures of municipal retrenchment and reform.
