TROUBLE STILL BREWING. AQUINALDO'S DEFIANT ATTITUDE. (Electric Telegraph-Copyright— United Press Association.) Manila, Jan. 11. AquinaMo has placarded Manila, threatening to expel the Americans. A prominent German in Manila has signed a letter regretting that the relations between the Filipinos and Germans are likely to be changed. The Americans are irritated at this statement. Washington; Jan. 11. A .Senator promises to make startling revelations in regard to German intrigues with the Spanish Filipinos when the peace treaty is under discussion in the Senate. Senator Mason says America should not attempt to govern the Philippines without the consent of the Filipinos. (Received Jan. 12, 9 a.m.) The opponents in the Senate to the ratification of the Spanish-American peace treaty urge that it is the largest measure of home rule feasible for the Philippines.
