THE AUSTRIANS.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, to-day. The. Austrian Consul has received v a cablegram from Vienna stating that communications have been opened direct with the British Government, bub nothing has resulted yet. One Austrian who missed his passage by the Waihora arrived by the Elingamite : yesterday, and walked ashore unchallenged.
