AN ALLEGED IMPOSTOR.
Sydney, Nov. 1. Several Sydney papers recently reported the arrival of Earl Hardwicke, who had just completed a tour of New Zealand. They gave His Lordship's impressions about the colonies, and society apparently accepted this introduction. The police to-day arrested Harry Picter, alias Earl Hardwicke, on a charge of imposing on a leading jeweller* Other similar charges are alleged to be pending.
