There was a large crowd assembled on the wharf to obtain a glimpse of them, but little opportunity was offered as the wharf was roped off, and the accused were hurried into a cub" and driven to the police station. Kirby appeared • to feel the position very keenly, but BaseettJ waa rather jaunty in manner. It has not) yet been deoided whether accused will be brought before the Court this afternooD, but ■ if they are a remand will be asked ifdr. Sir Robert Scout will appear for Kirby, and Mf Wilford fop Bassetfc.
