Prests Assool&tio n— Eleottie Telegraph— OoDjrigh SYDNEY, June 25. The Cabinet has decided to recommendt the Governor to release the Mount Rennie prisoners, The barque George C. Perkins, from the Bluff, has arrived dismasted. She met with the recent gale four hundred miles off the land, and had a trying time. During a heavy lurch she lost her main topmast. The position of the ship was perilous till the wreckage was cut away. She shipped a lot of water, but the cargo of oats was unhurt. The death sentence on the man Love has been commuted to imprisonment for life. The ground of the recommendation was that he had received provocation by the conduct of his wife. ADELAIDE, June 26. From correspondence presented to Parliament on the precedence question, it would appear that if the matter is re-opened the Government will recommend that Legislative Councillors rank below members of the Legislative Assembly, and thai the prefix of "Honorable" be abolished, on the ground that Councillors are elected by only a section of the community, while members of the Lower Chamber are returned on the adull suffrage.
