IMPERIAL PARLIAMENT.
THE VOLUNTARY SCHOOLS BILL DROPPED. London, June 22. The Government has found that it would be impracticable to take the Voluntary Schools Bill in the January session, also that it would be impossible to comply with the conditions asked by the Radicals. The Times states that che Cabinet has decided to drop the Bill entirely, but hope next session to pass a short Bill, and within the financial year to fufil their pledge to help voluntary schools. Later on, it says the House will be asked to resume the discussion on a scheme similar to the present Bill.
