CRICKET.

AUSTRALIANS V. AN ENGLISH ELEVEN. London, June 9. The attendance at the match to-day was small. The weather was again fine, bub the wicket was still heavy. The other scores on the Australian side were Giffen 11, Kelly 21. Spofforth again came out with a good analysis of five for 51. Rawlin took three for 11, Pickett one for 25, and Philips one for 3. In the Englishmen's second innings Nepan was the only double figure. Trumble took three wickets for 16, and Trott four for Kelly batted steadily for bis runs. Gregory, whose wicket was the last to fall, played admirably on an unfavorable pitch, being in for two hours. Spofforth bowled Hill and Iredale with successive balls. The batting of the Englishmen at the second attempt was of a feeble description, the innings only lasting an hour. The fielding was excellent, three men being run out.
