Sydney, Jan. 27. The quarterly banking returns show assetß £45,4] 9,000, an increase of £152,000 as compared with last quarter. The liabilities are £32,057,000, an increase of £24,000. Coin and bullion were held in the banks equal to 4s BJd in the £ of liabilities, which was the same us twelve months ago. Current account deposits show a largo increase, and advances a steady contraction
