Racehorse v. Bicycle.

An interesting contest waa decided nt the meeting of the Australian Trotting Association, in the shape of a match between Harris, the English champion cyclist, and Mr Robertson's well-known trotting mare Mystery, for 50 soys and a purse of 25 soys. The race was run in three heats, the winner of two out of three to secure the prize. The first race waa won by Mystery by 6yds in 2min 26 l-slh sec. The mare also won the second heat by 10yds in 2in'n 39 l-sth sec. In both heats Mystery went off with the lead. Though Harris hung on to the sulky and mado some fine spurts he was never able to head his equine opponent. The betting on the first heat was 6 to 4 on the mare, and on the second 3 to 1 on Harris.
