The New Hebrides.
Paris, Jan. 24. Esfcabette and Taurevitte, members of the French Colonial Party, have requested President Faure to take over the New Hebrides and join the island with New Caledonia under one Government, thus excluding Australia. The Journal de Paris says that in eveut of President .Faure consenting to become patron and protector of the islands it will be a guarantee of the establishment of French influence in the islands on a solid basis.
