THE QUEEN PROSTRATED WITH GRIEF. CONDOLENCE WITH THE ROYAL FAMILY. HER MAJESTY" SERIOUSLY INDISPOSED. liondon, Jan. 23. Prince Henry of Battenburg was proceedI ing to Madiera when a relapse set in. The Queen is quite prostrated. She had a painful interview with Princesß Beatrice in breaking the news. The proposed review of the squadron, by Her Majesty, has been cancelled owing to the Prince's death. Jan, 24.— 1t is expected that the funeral of Prince Battenburg will take placa at Windsor Castle. The Emperor of Germany sent a messago of coudolence to the Royal Family. Many meetings have been held in London and the provinces, at which resolutions of sympathy with the Queen were carried on the loss of one who volunteered for service in a foreign country. The Prince's death has been a terrible blow to the Queen, who is mosc deeplyaffected, especially at the knowledge that her favorite daughter's happy life Is thus crushed.
