The Barque Lothair.
Wellington, to-day. The Poet is informed that it is the intention of the owners of the barque Lothair to sue the New Zealand Government for damages for alleged illegal detention of their vessel.
_ Two medical mon have made an inspection of the barque at the requeßt of the Government, and they agree with the health officers and otherß who have examined the sufferers amongst the crew that the disease is "Beriberi," and is not infectious, but notwithstanding this opinion they recommend that the quarantine conditions should be imposed on the ship.
