The Approaching Census

Wellington, to-day. The Registrar-General is issuing for public information a leaflet with reference to the taking of the census in April. The colony has been divided into 33 enumerators' districts, and about 750 sub-enumerators will be employed. Besides the information as to population, special returns will be collected relating to all industries and manufactures. There is a penalty of £20 for wilfully refusing to supply the enumerators with the required information, or for furnishing false returns or answers.
