The Gold Returns-
Wellington, to-day. The gold returns for the colony for the year 1895 showed 293,491 ounces, of a value of 411,162,164 as compared with 221,615 ounces, of a value of £887,839 for the year 1894. The quantity yielded by the Auckland goldfields during the year hud more than doubled, while the West Coast and Otago also showed a small increase.
