The Railway Commissioners are allowing speoially low railway fares to enable people to eacape from the sunstricken western and southwestern interior, where the heat continues intense. Sailed : R.M.S. Monowai for 'Frisco via Auckland. Mr Justice Windeyer and Zimmerman, the 'cyclist, are passengers. The Postmasters-General have discußaed tho proposed federal mail service recommended by the Hobart Conference, and several communications have been received from the Imperial authorities on the matter. They adopted certain recommendations which, at the request of the Imperial authorities, who fear that their disclosures might impede the negotiations with the shipping companies, were not made public. Five more deaths have occurred from heat I at Bourke, where the thermometer was 119 in the shade yesterday and 114 to-day. MELBOUBNB, Jan. 20. The bodies of two boys named Rooche and Martin have been discovered in a sandpit in Middle Park. They had been missing for a week, when they left for a stroll together. It ia supposed they were sheltering from the rain when the pit collapsed.
