GREAT WHIRLWIND IN JAPAN.

Sydney, June, 10.
Eastern news by the steamer Tanjaan, states that a terrible whirlwind and hailstorm swept Japan, about the middle of May. . .
Hundreds of buildings were destroy^ seven persons were killed and . in&oip wounded.
Takau also suffered greatly, and many lives were lost.
The bubonic plague is still raging at Makao, the average death rate being about thirty daily. The epidemic has entirely disappeared from Hong Kong. Cholera is raging at Bangkok.
