SUSPECTED FOUL PLAY
Wellington, to-day.
A woman named Louie Smith, who was received into the hospital on Thursday suffering from burns, diet 1 , at midnight, before her depositions could be taken. . Two men named Andrew and Joseph Kennedy, brothers, have been arrested on a charge of being concerned in the affair, and Joseph Hewitt is also to be charged along with them.
It is alleged that another man was in the house with the woman, and the three accused went there to try and induce him to leave. A fight ensued,- during which the lamp was thrown down, with the results aa stated.
Later.— The men Kennedy and Hewitt were brought before the Court this moruing on the charge of being concerned in the death of the woman Smith, and. were remanded.
