London, Sept. 1. In the first innings of the Australians Trurable scored 36, McLeod (not out) 40, Ooningham 9, Turner 11, Blackham 2, sundries 12, total 343. Flowers took five wickets for 105, ANewell two for 48. Nottingham's first innings closed far 63. The following are the scores : -Dixon, Barnes, and Hardsteffl each, Shrewsbury 9, Gunn 12, Flowers (not out) 25, Daft 2, Jones 6. Attewell, Mcc, and Sherwin ml each, total 63 ; Turner took six wickets for 28, Ooningham three for 29. Gregory and McLeod made a fine stand in the first innings of the Australians, the latter playing very steadily. Seven Notta bowlers tried them. When the Home team began their inninga there was a drying wicket and sunshine. The batsmen collapsed. Turner and Coningham bewled throughout the innings, which only lasted 85 minutes. Turner took seven wickets tor 24, and Coningham three for 63.
