Chbistchuuch, to-day.
Am old man named Frederick Seelen, who has been paralysed for years, was admitted into the hospital yesterday morning suffering from the effects of arsenical poisoning, and died at about noon. Lyttelton, to-day. A three-year-old child of Mr Andrews, boarding-house keeper, fell into ft tureen of lint soup on Monday last, and died from the scalding hist night. At the inquest on the body yesterday morning a verdict ef accidental death was returned. Wellington, last night. The dead body of a man was found at Kopur.ingi railway station, near Masterton, to-day. Nothing is known yet ns to the origin of death. The body of a middle aged man was taken out of the harbor this afternoon, and has not yet been identi6ed. It has apparently boen in the water some time. No one is reported missing. Later. The man found in the harbor has been idontified as T. Whitworth, a blaoksmith, a resident of Douglas Wallace street, who has been missing a fortnight 1 . Mabtkrton, to-day. A man named William Cameron, 22 years of age, committed suicide last night by taking strychnine The deceased was highly respected, and no cause can be assigned, beyond that as he said himself he \vs* tired of life.
