The statement published by the Daily News that the Imperial Government had apprehensions of war between France and Germany being imminent, is generally discredited. Later. It has now been officially announced that the statement published by the Daily News that the Imperial Government feared that war between France and Germany is imminent was published without the permission of the Government, and is without foundation.
