Dunedin, to-day--11l the Hall murdor case Mr My les Knubley, solicitor, gave evidence as to the position of the trust settlementMr LeCren was also examined. Mr 8 Wren and Mrs Newton, being unable to attend, their depositions were taken and rend. Mr Jackson gavo evidence as to making an invalid bed for Captain Cain, and to Hall remarking that the latter would not live long. G. W. Gardener gave evidence as to offering his house to Hall, and on leaving Hall said " I have been enquiring for a house, but, to tell you the real truth, I do not want to get one because vie old man will be dead in a day <>r two, and we shall be getting his house." The Court then adjourned for lunch. Later. A number of other witnosaes have been examined, but nothing important elicited.
