AN UNFOUNDED STATEMENT.
«• Wellington, to-day. It has been ascertained by means of a cablegram from Australia that the London correspondent of the South Australian write ; lhat the Bank of England has refused to further subscribe (inscribe ?) New Zealand loans. He also stated that the Agent-General had boon notified accor dingly. Sir Julius Yogel was informed of the receipt of this cablegram, and immediately communicated with Sir G. D. Bell. The latter writes that there is nc foundation whatever for the statement.
