HAWERA.
This Day. A telegram says that everything is quiet in Maori matters there. The Natives seem somewhat strange in their manner, and there are very few about. They are still congregating at Parihaka, from various northern settlements. The settlers hope matters may yet be peaceably arranged, although they are adverse to creating any undue excitement. In the eveni of a disturbance, the Waihi Redoubt would be utterly useless as a means tor protection to the settlers, being about a mile off. The . " Hinemoa ' arrived in the roadstead yesterday with the Armed Constabulary.
