LAWN TENNIS
PATEA V. WAVERLEY. An enjoyable afternoon was spent on the local tennis courts-on (Saturday, when a visit was received from the members of the Waverley Club. At the conclusion of play the score was Patra 14 sets, Waverley .10, the former winning Pit! games and the hitter I.'!"). Before the visitors left Dr. P’. Vs Graves, president of the Waverley Chib, in a brief and happy speech, expressed the appreciation of the visitors of the hearty welcome and the hospitality accorded them by the Patea playersj Mr. Huberts., president of the local club, suitably replied. The following wore the scoycs, Waverley players being mentioned first:
