AMOUNTS OWED TO BRITAIN,

PERCENTAGES REMITTED

Ecplying to a question in Parliament, the Chancellor of the Exchequer said the amount of war debts due to Britain by foreign Governments at the date of funding was as follows. — France, £6OO millions; Italy, £560 millions; Rumania, £18,448,200; Portugal, £20,133,000; Greece, £21,440,000; Yugoslavia, £25,591,000.

Liability for the war debt of Belgium was assumed by Germany under the Treaty of Versailles, and the war debt of Russia has not yet been funded.
