WAVERLEY V. WANGANUI,
On Tuesday the return match between Wanganui and Wavcrley was played on the local lawns, when some interesting matches were witnessed. Owing to family sickness, Mrs. Pepper, Wavcrley's second player, was unable to be present, and Mrs. W. C. Glcnny, Patca, kindly filled the gap. The visitors were entertained to morning and afternoon tea And lunch, and a very happy time -was spent round the tabic. The following wore the scores, Waverlcy players being mentioned first: — SINGLES. Mrs. Glcnny 12 v. Mrs. Bassett 20.' Mrs, Palmer 19 v. Mrs, Egan 2C. Mrs, Muir 10 v. Mrs. Falconer 20. Miss Cleary 2.1. v. Mrs. Craig 26. Mrs. Eames 26 v. Mrs. Chapman 22. . Mrs. Alexander 22 v. Mrs. Everett 26 DOUBLES. Mcsdames Glcnny and Palmer 12 v. Mcsdames Bassett and Egan 26. Mrs. Muir and Miss Cleary 26 v. Mcsdames Falconer and Craig 17. Mcsdames Fames and Alexander lo v. Mcsdames Chapman and Everett 10. Totals: Waverley 2 games, 163 points; Wanganui, 6 games, 25 points, One game was unfinished owing to lack of time.
