SCHOOL COMMITTEE
ORDINARY MEETING, The ordinary meeting of the School Committee was held at 8 p.ui. on the 7th iust. Present: Mr. Boyne (chairman), Mr, Bowden (secretary), and Messrs. McDonald, Aiken, Middleditch, and Christensen.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
Inward correspondence w r as read and accounts passed for payment. The chairman reported that Mr. Flaherty, headmaster, is making satisfactory progress since his operation in Wellington, and it is hoped it will not be very long before he will be able to ‘lake up his duties again. The Wavcrley dental business was then dealt with and an appeal to the Waitotara parents was sent out asking them not to let this opportunity to slip by for the sake of 5s per child per annum for their children to receive dental treatment. It will be necessary for the next four or five days for the Waitotara parents to advise if • they wish their children to bo attended to, otherwise the nurse will bo -withdrawn.
The Wavcrley parents were also reminded that 5s per child per year, ending on March 31, is required before treatment Cftn be commenced. Money is urgently required to carry on with this service.
After a general discussion on dental matters the meeting rose.
