A. T. Murdoch replied that the disease was commonly known as sleeping sickness and was particularly troublesome in the Oroua and Alpnnwatu districts. its prevalence varied with seasonal conditions and it was of dietary origin. .The Department had widely disseminated advice relating lo the causes of the disease and methods ot protection.
