ME. COLLINS EETUENED. TWO TO ONE MAJORITY. Mr. W. A. Collins, chairman of tlu: Wanganui Education Board lias boon returned to the board as representative of the Wanganui urban area by a majority of nearly tiro to one over his opponent, the Ecv. J. Paterson. Mr, Collins stood as the champion of the present system of education, Mr. Paterson standing as the champion o the Bible in schools movement. The figures of the voting were: — W. A. Collins ... d 41 Eev. J. Paterson 24 Informal 2 NORTH WARD. The election of a member for the North Ward resulted in Mr. W. Adams being returned by a very large majority.
