KAKARAMEA SPORTS
ON WEDNESDAY NEXT A reminder is given of the Kakaramca Sports, which take place on Wednesday next, in the Association's paddock at Kakaramoa. 'The committee have been working indefatigably to make the meeting a success, and given a fine day there should be a record attendance.
In addition to the Open Leaping Competition for the 20-guinea cup and £2O, there is to be a Ladies' Jumping Competition for a £5/5/- cup, and other jumping events, including a wire jumping competition for a valued at £5/5/-. The committee have also arranged for amateur runners, which should evoke keen competition. Refreshments will be obtainable on the ground, and a band will be in attendance. The sports will start at 1 p.m. sharp, to enable the events to bo got off before dark.
