Sir J. Ward Accepts. After leaving fully considered,, the matter from every standpoint, Sir Joseph Ward on Wednesday definitely decided r,o accept the of leadership of the Opposition party whic'a was tendered him recently. L'Akt night in the Housa of Representatives, Mr Massny took occasion to congratulate the Opposition and Sir J. Ward on his selection as Leader of the .Opposition. It was a coincidence that it was 10 years ago that day Mr Seddon had congratulated him on being selected as Leader of the Opposition. At tho Liberal caucus which received tho announcement of Sir Joseph Ward's acceptance of the leadership, 2l members wero present, and six exoludes Messrs Oraigio, Davoy, Millar Atmoro and Isitt (Independents) and fivoLaborites, making a total of 37. Mr Massey's majority will therefore be &vo if all the opposing forceß co-operate.
