THE MISSING PERTHSHIRE.

Auckland, May 30. The steamers Stella and Sterling left fur Hokianga this afternoon. _ Both vessels will tow the Perthshire, if funnel. The captains arranged to meet in lat. 32.30, long. 169 at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Should only one vessel turn up, she will proceed to Norfolk Islands, arriving there on Friday. If she does not then meet the other, she will return to Cape Maria to report. Both steamers will zig-zag. The captains think she lias gone further to the north than is generally considered. The Hevenport Perry Coy. are considering the advisability of sending the s.s. Admiral out in search of the Perthshire in chargeof Captain Roberts, but have not yet come to a decision on the matter.

Tlie Eliugamite kept a good look out but saw nothing of the Perthshire. The Westralia, for Sydney, should have a chance of picking the vessel up.
