Mr Cadman at Waihi. He Announces his Retirement at End of Term. Auckland, May 30. On Saturday evening the lion A. J. Cadman, Minister of Mines and Railways, addressed his constituents in Tanner’s Hall, Waihi. The hall was •crowded with an attentive audience. Mr Cadman’s speech, which lasted over an hour and a half, evoked considerable applause. At the conclusion of his speech a vote of thanks was accorded to him for his speech, and of confidence in him as the representative of Ohineranri for the remainder of the present term, was carried by acclamation. Mr Cadman definitely announced that he intended to retire from political life at the end of his term, but would remain with Mr Seddon till next election.
