Prince Ferdinand’s party are deeply depressed at the refusal of the Czar to recognise the Prince. A crisis in Bulgaria is imminent. FRANCE AND AMERICA. Wasaington, August 7. The United States Government regards the French proposal to establish a Court of Arbitration as unworkable, and prevented by the Munroo doctrine. THE REVOLT IN CUBA, Madrid, August 7. A groat battllc is reported to have been fought at Baracoa, in Cuba. General Sandova was wounded, and the towns of Barccoa and Piguani burned. TERRIBLE DEATH OF A PARACHUTIST. London, August 7. Adelaide Bassett, parachutist, met with a terrible death at a fete in Peterborough to day. She was giving a pciformance in the presence of thousands of people, and in the ascent the parachute was injured by contact with the telegraph wires. She jumped from a height of 60ft and fell on her head, death being almost instantaneous. ) THE LIVE STOCK TRADE. London, August 6. The cattle brought from Australia by the Gulf of Siam were sold alive at the Debtford market, and brought from £2l to £22, and the sheep were sold at 38s.
