[REUTER —COPYRIGHT.] (Received April 6, at 6 p m.) CAIRO, April 3. Latest despatches from Souakim announce that Major-General Graham has left that place for this city. A detachment of Sir Evelyn Wood’s force, now stationed in Egypt, has been ordered to proceed to Suakim, to form a garrison to be kept at that port. April 5. Intelligence has been received from Rassiale, a town in the Soudan near the frontier of Abysinnia, that the Egyptian garrison there is in a critical position, and the Governor of the town has applied to the British for aid, LONDON, April 3. In the House of Commons to-day, the Marquis of Hariinglon, in reply to questions, stated it is not intended to send troops to Berber or Khartoum ; but if General Gordon proved to be in jeopardy the Government would order that measures be taken for his assistance. The Minister added that in his latest despatches General Gordon announced that he adhered to his views in favour of the evacuation of Soudan.
