KAKARAMEA.
(from our correspondent.) MONDAY. The children of the Kakaramea school were examined on Friday'last by the Inspector, 36 being present. Several of these were either too young or had not made a sufficient number of attendances to enable them to be presented in the Standards. In Standard I there were 9 presented. Passed : Heury Clover, Robert Temple Brown, Willie McKenzie, Margaret Boyle, Emma Shears. Standard 11., 7 presented. Passed : —John Williamson, Gertrude Burke, Lavinia Hansen, Evelyn Brown, -and Jessie Williamson. Standard 111., 9 presented. Passed : —Walter Powdrell, John Boyle, Edward Delamore, Norah O’Shanessy, Fanny Taylor, Annie Williamson, and Mary Brodie. Standard IV,, 3 presented. Passed ; —John Michael Burke, William Boyle, Standard V., 1 presented, Fanny Ada Stanford who also passed. Considering the small number of attendances which several of the candidates made daring the year, the results are creditable both to the scholars and the teacher, Mr R. T. Brown. The school will close for the Xmas holidays on the 15th inst. To-day, the Woodvillo school will be examined by the Inspector.
