WAVERLEY.
[from our correspondent.] At the R.M. Court, on Wednesday, before Captain Wray, the following cases were disposed, of;— Police, v._ Mrs McLeod. No appearance, and a rant was issued: for her to bo brought up at Carlyle.—W. Ovcrend v. Brookes was a debt case, and at the request of the defendant, it was adjourned till next Court day.—J. Bowrie v. J. A. Smith : Plaintiff sued defendant for £6 as damage done to a trap, and the Magistrate allowed £2 16s and costs. —Town Hall Co. v. J, Hayes: This case, adjourned from last Court day, was one of a disputed sale of Town Hall shares. After hearing the evidence for and against, the Magistrate considered that the sale had been conditional, and gave a verdict for the defendant, with Us costs. Mr Fookes, commission agent, is appointed to represent the . Mail in the Waverlcy district,, and will transact all business in connection therewith after this date. Papers may bo ordered through him, and he will receive advertisements and subscriptions for the Mail.
