Tenders must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, and marked outside, “ Tender for Gravelling Contract, No. 2.” Specifications, &c., may be seen at tho above office, and at the Public Works Office, Hawera. All tenders must be accompanied by a cheque for the amount named in the specification ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to be in favor of the Receiver-General's deposit account only , and not to bearer or order. Parties tendering will be required to prospect for and find a supply of gravel as near the work as possible ; and each tenderer must state tho number of teams he intends to employ on the w'ork : not less than six teams, however, shall be employed on the contract.
