HUNDRED MILLION REIGHMARKS PROMISED SUPPLY OF WAR MATERIAL. GERMANS CLAIM OBLIGATIONS CAN BE FULFILLED. (Received 11.58 a.m.; United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Coovright. LONDON, Jan. 4. After protracted negotiations the final details have been settled between Germany and Turkey for war material to be delivered to Turkey under a credit of 100.000,000 Reichmarks, says the Times’ Istanbul correspondent. It. is believed that supplies include tanks and armoured vehicles for equipping an entire mechanised division. The credit was originally granted in 1939 to counter-balance industrial credits from Britain but, after the conclusion of the AngloTurkish Alliance and the outbreak of war, tlie Germans let the credit; lapse until its renewal was proposed bv Von Pa pen. obviously with the intention of neutralising the effects of Anglo-American supplies to Turkey. The Germans were then unable to divert sufficient supplies from their own resources but they now claim that their obligations can be fulfilled.
