FRENCH MERC HAN TMEN. United Press Assn.- By Electric Telegraph-Copyright. LONDON, Jan. 4. The Times’ Lisbon correspondent says it is reliably reported from Marseilles that only 16 merchantmen remain of the 120 which were there when the Germans occupied the port last November The merchantmen which disappeared have been rushed to Italian ports whence they can presumably replace the losse b on the Tunisian and Tripolitaniaii routes. Marseilles is now strongly defended, it being estimated that there are 20,000 Reichswehr there.
