AFFILIATION SOUGHT
COMMUNIST PARTY IN BRITAIN LONDON, Dec. 21 The Communist Party i u Britain has applied for affiliation with the Labour Party. Mr Harry Pollit, chairman of the Communist Party, in a letter to secretary of the Labour Party, said : “Mv committee feels that the experiences gained in the course of the united struggle against Fascism lias shown the tremendous part the united working-class movement can play, not only to winning th e war, but in solving the serious problems of reconstruction when peace is achieved. “The Communist Party, is fully prepared to accept all the obligations of being affiliated to the Labour Party, and' will loyally carry out decisions reached at Labour Party conferences.”
