LODGES AND DISTRICT CONTROLLER AGREE. The following letter lias been received by the secretary of the E.P.S., Mr A. W. Hamilton, from the District Motor Vehicle Controller, Mr C. S. Fagan, Masterton. I have now had an opportunity of discussing your letter of the f7tii inst. with the District Controller of E.P.S., Mr T. Jordan, and we both, agree that youi suggestion to hold a field day is quite a good one II at all possible I intend to be

present, and hope to be able to bring Mr T. Jordan through so that we may watch you go through your paces. The Friendly Societies Picnic Committee carried the following resolution at a meeting held on Wednesday, December 16th ; That it be a recommendation to the E.P S. to carry on with the field day on the 22nd January, 1943 and the lodges will give every assistance possible as an E.P.S. unit to make the day a success.
