PRESENTATION AT RUAWHATA
H. BAIRSTOW HONOURED. On Friday evening Ruawhata schoolroom was crowded with a merry throng of dancers and onlookers, who had all gathered to honour Mr Harrison Bairstow on the eve of his marriage. Mr T. B. Milne, who handed Mr Mairstow a handsome barometer of modern design, spoke of his close acquaintance with him, having been Ills nearest neighbour for over twenty years. He mentioned that he had always found Mr Bairstow a most estimable young man, and the gift lie was asked to accept that night was but a small token of the goodwill of the Ruawhata folk. After musical honours had been heartdy given, Mr Bairstow brioily and feelingly replied. The ladies provided a very dainty home made supper. Mr S. Rose was M.C.. and Mrs A. Tait proviedd the i xcellent dance music.
