Lawry, S.M. in the Magistrates' Court, Masterton. to-day to a defendant in a civil action; who said that none of his children was working “What about the boy of 18; is he working?” asked the magistrate. “No, he can’t get work. When he looks for a job they say he is either too old or too young,” defendant replied. The magistrate: And the girl of Defendant: She’s not doing anything. The Magistrate: Just staying at home. After fixing the order the magistrate said: “Tell the children that il they don’t go to work .>Oll are liable to go to gaol for a week.” Defendant: Yes, sir.
