HOLD ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Pahiatua Player* was held at the residence ol Mr and Mrs E \ incent, Master ton Hoad, last night. There was a good attendance of members and Mrs T. Clarke was voted to the chair. Apologies were received front Mrs A. W. Hamilton and Misses D. F. E. Junker. M. Moriarty and RtiskelL The Secretary, Mrs E Vincent presented the annual rejiort. which will be published later A letter wa s received from the Pahiatua Women’s Institute thanking the Players for a donation of £2. A letter of resignation was received from the President. Mr J. KentJohiiston. tendering his resignation and expressing his desire to continue connection with the Players. The election of officers resulted as follows: President : Mr S K. JSiddells. Secretary: Mrs E. Vincent Committee: Mrs T. Clarke,- Miss E. Tayl-or and Messrs E. Vincent and IJ. Thompson. It was decided to affiliate the Club with the British Diama League. The tentative programme fo r the Y car •■'omprised a three-act play ear.y in June, four one-act plays in September and an entry in the Drama League Festival Mrs Clarke was appointed producer. Mr Vincent stagemanager and Miss M Taylor assist-ant-producer.
