Last Night, “The master of the Awatea points out that three s row aw ays have been found in the vessel within two weeks,” said Sub-Inspector J. A. Dempsey, in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, when William Tait, steel worker, aged 27, and Albert Scholfield. aged 29, pleaded guilty to stowing away in the Awatea in Sydney on February 3 They were each sentenced to three weeks’ imprisonment with hard labour bv Mr J.
