WEEK-END CRICKET

PAHIATUA DEFEAT AIANGATAINOKA. A friendly match was played during the week-end at Pahiatua between the Alangatainoka and Pahiatua Cricket Clubs, the result being a win for Pahiatua by 56 runs on the two innings. Top scoter was McKay in Pahiatua's second innings, with 47, which included two sixes and five fours, while Vile put up the best score for Mangatainoka with 32 in their second innings. The best bowling average was put up by Meade, for Pahiatua, with six for 22, while AlcLean( four for 42 and three for 3) and Holtham (five for 50) took the wickets for Mangatainoka.
